MESSENGER Bag Mk II
- Product Review (submitted on August 18, 2016):
- As to tactical nylon, I'm what many would deem a serious user of it. Not for 'tacticool' for actual requirements needed on missions. And I travel a LOT, so there aren't many bags, of all types, I haven't purchased an put through the wringer. Briggs & Riley, Tumi, Maxpedition, 5.11, EMDOM, Kifaru, from cheap to expensive, civilian to full on tactical, I've used them and had them bashed on conveyor belts, dropped in deserts, sat on or loaded gear on by itinerant fork lift operators, the full Monty. That said, no one in the industry approaches the quality of DAG...I sum it up by how much time I spend with a lighter, singing other brand's loose threads and incomplete stitch 'hangers'. DAG gear (I've got two Messenger Bags) had NONE. Not one thread, loose. Their quality control is phenomenal. Their take on Molle/PALS, with their laminate laser cut is industry unique. The attention to the layout of pockets could ONLY be done by someone in the field, not a 'tacticool' fat boy behind a desk whose only concern is morale patches. On one side, they're influencing designs of other bag makers; on the other, they'll put some out of business, their product is that good! I'm buying probably three more and squirreling them away for use later. Best bag on the market, no matter the cost, in my humble opinion.
