TEMPEST Chest Rig
Stripped down and ready for action, TEMPEST chest rig also offers increased modularity for full user-customization. The tight split front design allows for comfortable use in stand-alone mode - and keeps your magazines close when attached to a plate carrier.
TEMPEST Chest Rig is compatible with our Sniper Panel
Specs:
- Proprietary laser-cut laminate, Cordura® 500D and softshell construction
- Integrated, adjustable magazine pouches, will fit: 8 x AR type, 4 x AK type or 4 x SR type magazines
- PALS slots on the magazine pouches and sides, horizontal PALS slots under ammunition pouches for tourniquets, pistol magazine pouches etc.
- Body armor interface via buckles
- Low profile, adjustable harness with slots for PTT and additional accessories attachment
- Reinforced drag handle incorporated into harness design
- Flat inner pockets in each chest panel
- Comms / antenna routing

Have used this chest rig on 3-10 day patrols and it has not let me down. The best part about it is how versatile it is setting up but having a good base to hold all required gear. Adding pouches to the front doesn’t make it to bulky because of how streamline it is. The zipper and button could definitely used some work because it can be a pain to open and close but not a big enough issue to take points off. I have done 100’s of miles in it and no sign of wear

I've been curious about this rig for a while, it did not disappoint. I've added pouches and weight to it and it has held up. It's lightweight and simple design is ideal for my needs and can be expanded based on needs.

It’s not necessarily that this particular zipper and button top sucks. I bought a similar rig with a clip in middle and run that almost exclusively now. This is a backup.

The chest rig is extremely well built but still lightweight and comfortable. The webbing allows for a lot of modularity and the zipper in the front is great for adding a panel or easy removal. Hopefully they make a panel in greenzone again some day so I can grab one.

I looked around at dozens of chest right options and for the money this is the best I've found. Lightweight, simply and strait forward yet modular enough to wok in almost any application.
