- Awesome Rig
-
I love this rig, well built and plenty of storage. I just traded my m4 for an xm7 and needed to store a combat load of sr25 mags, this is the first kit I found that could do that. Not only can I get 6 sr25 mags but I also have a pouch for my compas and binos, a radio pouch, and admin pouch as well as molle on 2 water source pouches and 2 flash bang pouches, and when combined with the sniper panel, it gives me a flat chest to lay or crawl on. With a couple buckles it clips to my issued msv or if we're going light I'll run it as just the rig. I really wish I'd have found this sooner, it'd saved me a lot of time and money. Couldn't be happier with this,

Somewhere along the line, chest rigs became my hobby. I’ve all kinds of chest rigs from all kinds of companies such as Haley Strategic, Spiritus, issued gear, and even some battle jackets. I’ve used them in training and on deployments. I did time in reconnaissance in the Army, and I also did service an American police officer. I’ve tried a wide array of gear and I have a decade of experience of wearing a huge variety of kit professionally. What to pack and how carry loads has turned out to be a quest line I’ve completed. Chest rigs are in and will remain so for the foreseeable future, as pairing them with and without body armor is advantageous.
The Hurricane is leagues ahead of anything I’ve ever used. First, it is a “hybrid” design in that it has a split function. I was not sure if the split rig function was a fad, but I think they are here to stay. The ability to don/doff, or even just wear a rig loosely is not a gimmick: it is a serious capability. I will also note that this rig does it in spades. The split function is very well designed and executed with quality.
Second, load carriage. The load carriage iOS based. So based. Carrying 8 magazines with extra pockets is the way. I have combined mine with a robust IFAK and I used two columns of PALS MOLLE to attach a Spiritus Mutant pouch in one side with a Spiritus Spud. Two columns of MOLLE was sufficient to do this and I just ran the base of the pouch through the extra backstrap. This matters because on this rig, I have achieved more load carriage to include water, optics, ammo, radio, compass, map, and GPS/satellite communications in a rig that is exceedingly comfortable, and still low profile enough to carry a serious rucksack. If you are a light infantryman, a recon soldier, or a prepared citizen looking for a robust loadout with self-sustainment, this chest rig is for you. Even while this rig can be loaded up, it never seems bulky or unwieldy. It can be stripped down to be quite minimal. The attached pockets also tie down very well to tuck back if you don’t want to use them. And all of the pockets have internal lash points to dummy cord any sensitive items.
Third, I want to touch on the map pockets. They may seem shallow at first, but they add value most will miss. They work for maps, but using some other gear there will reallly show off why they are valuable. I have relocated my radio antenna to these pockets, and it really opens up space to keep the straps flat for a pack to go over them. This is hugely important for infantrymen or infantry leaders.
Fourth, I will note that the straps are robust and the thickness really distributes the weight well. I am very impressed by this system.
Hands down, I recommend the Hurricane before any other chest rig I have used.Price Quality Value - Well developed chest rig.

The yoke has a cross strap I have had to install myself in other chest rigs. Outer pouches are able to be modified. I installed the front sniper panel and AR magazine pouches aren't limiting my underarm movement. Definately quality engineered.
Price Quality Value - Its a great product overall

I wish there would be a look and loop on the back of the chest rig, so when I attach it to my plate carrier, it wouldn't move as much. Especially when running.

Seems good how it works for me overseasPrice Quality Value - Best mission ready lightweight chest rig on the market!

I use the Hurricane for more than a year now on exercise and currently on deployment as well, and i absolutely love it! Currently i use it with a Plate Carrier, and attached it via Down Range gear qasm buckles and mayflowers swift clip. The rig rides comfortabely on a PC, but the real deal is the stand alone configuration. Mag pouches are well designed, and works great with M4 and AK mags as well. The utility pouches are spacy and versitale, but if filled limits the shooters ability in the prone position. Molle on the side is used for 2x152 radio. Mid zipper works great, but i dont use it, i would prefer the option of not having the zipper, but having a large map pocket on the back side instead of the 2 small one. What i would change: i would change the top side buckle from 45 to 90 degree for added stability for heavier loads when using with a PC. Secondly i would change from the 2 small pouches on the left for 1 b,igger, which would fit a 4x6 notebook, and sone GRG. Overall it is the best rig on the market in my opinion, and i would not buy anythimg else.
Price Quality Value - Good buy, very high quality, seems a little bit expensive however

I definitely am glad I bought this chest rig. I absolutely love it! It feels durable as all heck and it fits great. I'm no expert, but it does seem a small bit expensive, but then again, it might be just that well made; I haven't put it yet through too much extensive tests.
However I highly recommend it!
Pros:
-Lightweight
-Many pouches in a small area/compact
-Little bit of room to customize
-Comfortable
-Small overall
Cons:
-Mag pouch is as advertised, can only fit 4 AK mags, even if you try to squeeze another in there, it just won't fit right.
-Small overallPrice Quality Value - Awesome

Your customer service is good and I really like your product. I think that an improvement on the chest rig could be if you made the zipper zip down to don and up to doff this would make donning much easier while worn over a plate carrier and/or full. I added a "monkeys fist" to the left (as worn) next to the zipper to make it easier for a quick fix. Also if you had some 7.62x53 chest rigs I you may improve the client base. That’s the whole reason I wear rigs instead of just plate carriers. It makes swapping weapon systems for different missions much easier.
